To the residents of Kherson region
Please accept my sincere greetings on occasion of the memorable date the 65th anniversary of formation of Kherson region.
It is symbolic that the history of the region as an administrative and territorial unit started with liberation of the land from fascist occupants. Two weeks after the liberation of Kherson region, all efforts of Tavria land were aimed at restoration of national economy. Socio-economic, scientific-educational and cultural potential of the region was created and enriched by elated self-sacrificing creativity of the people. At present, the glory of Kherson region as a land of powerful industrial potential, grain and vegetable agricultural production extends far beyond the national borders. Industrial sector of the region represented by numerous ship-repair, machine building, fuel and energy, woodworking enterprises, developed light and food industry makes a considerable contribution into the common heritage of the country.
However, generous, open-hearted, industrious people devoted to their native land are the most precious wealth of Tavria land.
Dear residents of Kherson region, on occasion of the anniversary I wish you peace and well-being. May this date inspire you with the feeling of affinity with the fortune of the native land and attract you to the history, the present and the future.
